2021 National Summit Overview

More than 9 million people call regional Australia home, but it has such a big heart and it’s ready to grow.

The Regional Australia Institute (RAI) is leading a national movement that builds on momentum already underway to see societal shift in Australia – to help rebalance our population.

It’s a big task, maybe too ambitious for many, but we know this challenge will ignite a spark in some. They are the people we want to work with.

Join us at our National Summit, Growing Regional Australia – Shaping the Good Life.

Day 1: Wednesday 17 March 2021

Day 1 of the Summit will bring together some of the country’s brightest minds, with keynote speakers and panellists to present the latest on issues around population trends, regional migration, jobs, education, health, climate, infrastructure and innovation, as well as local leadership and the economy.

Backed by our research, the RAI believes these are the key elements needed to build our National Awareness Campaign to be launched at the Summit – which will promote the opportunities of living in regional Australia.

Gala Dinner

The Gala Dinner will be a formal networking opportunity to close out Day 1, with a two course meal and entertainment. The keynote speaker will be announced soon!

Day 2: Thursday 18 March 2021

The Masterclass on Day 2 is your opportunity to learn from the experts about shaping critical policy in Australia. It will be more rigorous and interactive than day 1, drawing on the key themes and insights gleaned from the conference speakers and panellists. This will be your opportunity to deep dive into a new toolkit we will be releasing!
