Regional Australia is changing, and with this transformation comes boundless opportunities to rethink what regional Australia means. In April, the RAI launched the Future of Regional Jobs paper at our Regions Rising National Summit in Canberra. Jobs are changing, and we want to share our research with VIC. We use our evidence-based research to present the facts, we bring key regional stakeholders together, and we work to change the narrative of regional Australia.

Regions Rising VIC is part of the Regional Australia Institute’s (RAI’s) ground breaking national roadshow for 2019.

Victorian Government has long promoted the benefits of living and working in regional Victoria through various campaigns such as “Ready when you are”. The RAI’s most recent work provides the missing link to promote further settlement in our regions.

Be part of the critical conversation, where the Minister for Regional Development, the Hon Jaclyn Symes will launch our new national report, Regional Population Growth – are we ready? and a new RAI tool to help consider why living and working in our regions is a fantastic option for your future.

The Victorian Premier, the Hon Dan Andrews, set out a clear plan for Victoria to build 100,000 jobs, many of which reside in our beautiful regions. The RAI’s foundational work can help support this target to better understand the future employment trends and the opportunities that exist for Victorians to make the move.
